w202 Starting Problem Solved

My C200 1999 Elegance just wouldnt start. Keeps cranking till kingdom come just wouldnt start...except in the wee hours of the morning (4-5am) when it was about 25 deg C.(in Malaysia temprature is between 23-34 deg C That lead me to believe that it had to do with a temprature problem.

1. Fuel Pump ok
2. fuel pump relay ok
3. this year model has no OVP
4. Bad fuel ruled out
5. Wiring + plugs ok

Solution:---after MBDOC's advice to change the L5 Camshaft Position Sensor it worked like a charm.

Note:- this fault will not show up in STAR diagnostics so I saved myself some $$ telling them what to change.

They were intrigued that I learned all these from the Internet.

Cheers
