W124 plastic gear-selector in tranny's valve-body
While replacing the springs for a 2-3 shift flare on a 1993 500E tranny, I inadvertantly broke the plastic piece that goes on the end of the valve-body's gear-selector plunger ?
Does anyone know if this part can be ordered by itself, or do I need a whole new gear-selector plunger ? It looks like it has the following pn# 126.277.02.43 TIA, :-) neil 1988 E36T AMG 1993 500E |

I just did a similar thing on my 1987 Porsche 928S4 tranny. Its a MB 4 speed unit as well. I had a 2-3 flare and the springs seemed to cure it under lighter loads...its non existant now.
however when i put my foot to the floor i still get the slip/flare...rpms increase rapidily between the shift, then it grabs I think i have clutch packs that are going. 157k miles and 450rwhp 424 rwtq now. |

Does the MB tranny mate directly to the 928S4 engine.
How are you getting the 400+ HP ? It would be interesting to have a 928S4 engine in a Mercedes. :-) neil |
