Testing ETR switch with multimeter
I had the old ETR replaced. I checked it with a multimeter in the ohms setting. At first, it showed "1" and would drop to .324.
I got the ETR on this site and check it, it showed "1" and stay at "1" which would mean that the switch is open. Is this correct? Should the switch stay close to work, which should show "0"? So do I have a bad replacement ETR?
I check both switch out of the car. Is this a correct way to do this or should they be connected in the car itself with the pushbutton control on?
Thanks,
John
