The car is 2001 E320.
The rear right window will not move up.
I took the door panel out and found a lose cable with both ends out.
Is this cable part of the window regulator?
Do I need a new window regulator or can this cable be put back to the old window regulator?

I took the window regulator out this morning. Some plastic components of the regulator were falling off too. So I ordered a new one and will put it on next week.

I fixed mine instead of replacing it, since I rarely use the rear windows anyway. But I suspect that my fixed regulator is stronger than it was before it broke.

It took me about a half-hour to fix it, not counting R&R. I posted instructions here, somewhere...
