Coolant temperature sensor gone?

Hello,
In an attempt to fix my misfire problem, I tried to measure resistance at the coolant temperature sensor. Now, on the cylinder head, there are three of them. A one prong, a two prong, and a four prong. I assumed it's the two prong I need to test. One one pin I got the reading of 324 ohms with the engine on and on the other pin I got no reading. The connector is wrecked and the metal things that attach to the sensor are out in the open. What should I do?

Seeing that there are so many different sensor systems, you will probably get an answer as soon as you give out the model/year..

Good point, my mistake. It is a '90 300E. The sensor, by the way, now reads 318 hot.
