Gas tank removal

I am helping my brother out here, he recieved a 1980 450sl that hasnt been ran in 12 years. Any tips or suggestions to get it back up and running. What is the easiest way to drop the tank and flush the lines? What is the location of the fuel pump? Thanks for any help...Michael

I'm not familiar with this yr/model, but the following might help get you started:

I believe there's an "older car" section at this site - may not have worded it quite right, but you should be able to find it. That may also be a good place to post info. The "Search" fucntion here will bring up all kinds of valuable information as well.
