Heard about a 300D that starts right up but then the oil pressure drops when it warms up and starts making a loud knocking sound. What can this mean? Thanks in advance.

It most likely means that the engine is worn completely out. When bearings wear, the additional clearance provides no resistance to hot, thin oil flow, thus makes no pressure.
