This AM I experienced some strange behavior from my 88 300E climate control. The system was in it usual mode, fan on auto, temp set to 22 degrees C and the Econo button depressed. I was getting high temp heat out of the dash, no fan and the light in the recirculation switch was blinking. Changing the fan, temp or outlet settings had no effect. I shut the engine off and restarted it now everything is working normal. What does the blinking light in the recirc sw mean? Is this a sign of a pending future failure, or is the 300 just jealous of the new C 230 I just acquired and wanting more personal time with me?
