A common problem seems to be the Brakelight switch.
Lucky for you it's only about $ 20.00.

Do you have brake lights when you step on the brake pedal when the code appears?

Alberto,

The only reference to 1406 I find, is to
the B1406 for 129,124,140,202 and 210 under
body control systems. Maybe it's the same
for newer cars?:

B1406 Dome lamp control wire short to B+ from combination control module. (N10-1 or N10-3).

N10 is here:
http://www.classic-roadster.de/cgi-bin/showitemlocation.cgi?TYPE=C208&X=2&Y=6&SORT=ITEM&START=N&ITEM=N10

and dome lamp is here (I think...?):
http://www.classic-roadster.de/cgi-bin/showitemlocation.cgi?TYPE=C208&X=5&Y=10&SORT=LOCATION&START=&ITEM=E15%2F2

But, I think this is a long shot, and that yours is a C1406 related to drivetrain, that
I do not have any refrences to.

Wait, wait,
after searching for "C1406 code" at google, I got this from a Dodge OBDII code card:

C1406 Traction Control Valve Rear Circuit Short To Ground

Maybe that helps?
