Unhappy help!!-2000 C230K-won't accelerate

I would welcome any advice/imput.
My car (115K miles) went in for its regular service and other repair work (incl replace fuel guage sensor) and the dealer said I needed to have the spark plugs changed. Got the car back on Mon eve. (after many $$$ gone), thurs AM CEL comes on but car drives ok. Sat AM car will not accelerate properly. It hesitates/"stumbles" to the point where it seems like it it is going to cut off. Basically I'm afraid to drive it since I can't even accelerate fast enough to enter traffic from a dead stop!

I read the previous posts and it seems like the MAF, fuel reg. or a vacuum leak could be the problem. If the MAF or fuel reg. were bad shouldn't the dealer have caught that? Prior to this, no problems with the car. OBDII code p0170 fuel trim malfunction (bank 1) displayed.

Any suggestions I can try so that I don't have to have the car towed 25 miles to the dealer? I'm somewhat handy but never tried anything more than a stuck wiper or cracked headlight lense.

Thanks.

If you know how to reset your radio & the power windows, you could try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes & see if that helps.
