Window Guide "Unglued"

I have begun replacing my passenger side electric window regulator on my 1973 450SL with a used one because the retaining clamp for the lift arm mechanism broke and it would only go down under power.

The problem I have encountered is, upon pulling the regulator out I found that the sliding window guide has become unglued from the window glass. See attached pic.

The questions I have are:
What is the best way to position and glue it back on?
What to use for an adhesive?
Or, would it be better to toss the guide and put some kind of full length window guide strips in to guide the window in its track? If so, is there a source for this material.

Gary
