Is this air cell replacement job easy for an experienced do it yourselfer? Anyone help me with a quick outline on the procedure?

To replace the accumulator is not that hard. The one thing that you have to pay attention to is threading of the small line. I have seen a number of people cross-thread this line, this is a bad problem.

I did a posting on my experience replacing the cells on my 1989 560SEL. Do a search by my username.
I agree it could be easy to cross thread, especially if you are laying on your back in the driveway, not on a lift. Also, ensure you have metric line wrenches, as it is easy to strip off the fittings. Have fun!!
