How to adjust CLK conv. drivers window?
The driver’s side front window on my ’01 CLK430 convertible sticks out too far from the A-pillar and top weather strips.
Besides rain getting in, there is annoying wind noise. Is there some adjustment for the glass I can make? If I press on the top of the glass while closing the door from the outside I can get it to seat properly before the window shuts all the way. |

were you not able to find it in wis? you have one of mine right? you also never responded about the battery hlod down clamp, did you get my post? have you tried to synchronize the windows? lower the glass and do the first detent all the way up, and hold for 5 sec., also make sure the doors are closed and the dorr panel striker cover are in place. the windows are supposed to drop slightly when the door is open and raise slightly after it is closed, if they are not synchronized properly they will not do this. if this doesn't work, there may be a module issue

Yes I have your WIS but didn't see anything about window adjusment in group 67. I did get a shorter battery hold-down at the dealer for my long battery. The window is synchronized and does drop slightly when the door is open and raise slightly after it is closed like it's supposed to. This is a mechanical issue where the top edge of the glass is too far from the weather strip when the window is in the full up position.
