Question oil leak from Red line oil?

This may sound funny but perhaps not. I have a 1992 300-E M103 983 L6 cylinder 3.0. millage 03750 as of Saturday. I switched from Mobile one 10W-30 super syn formula to Red Line 10w 40 syn. I noticed a small oil leak from the back of the motor that I though may be resisual of oil from the old filter. I am still getting drips.
My question is did I get the wrong weight oil, as the mobile one oil never leaked from my motor until my oil change to red line this passed weekend?
My next concern is I purchased Redline oil for my transmission service for a filter and fluid change tomorrow D4 ATF all synthetic formula. I do not want to repeat
the same mistake.
I would like to hear from so technicans concerning this problem.
Thank You
Bob Geco
