m104 Belt Tensioner

i have the old style belt tensioner (m104.992), can it be changed for the newer style??

Does the new part number supersede the old? If it does you're home free, if it doesn't there's probably a reason that it doesn't. Dealer parts person can tell you.

it doesn't appear that there is an updated part number

Any reason why you want the newer one rather than the one you know fits?

This is on the m104 in your 190e? I'm sure it could be fitted with some modification.

it's the m104 going in my 190 (within the next month or two)

the newer style is cheaper... not a big fan of the older style... i'm thinking it the same motor and i can't think of any reason it wouldn't fit...

just don't know why the newer style doesn't take the place of the older style (unless it doesn't fit)

guess i'll call the dealership
