1982 380 motor, still single or double T-chain?
 Considering picking up what appears to be a Euro 380SEC that doesn't run. Since it's an '82 I THINK it's still the single chain motor...  If so, it probably has topend damage is my guess. But did the Euro ones have double chains always or ...Thanks for any help!

The 380 engines in Europe were always double chained.
In the U.S., the 380 engines went to the double chain I think in the middle of 1983.

Maybe I'll stick a Euro 500 in there, I know where one is at...

 Put the 500 in it anyways. You will need the lsd though. Seriously. If you need parts your welcome to this engine.

Have to see how this will play out, car doesn't run so I'm not going to pay more than $500 for it. The SEC has a pegleg axle?

there is a guy who is desperate in the ft laud area with a 84 500 SEC and the engine runs good with no smoke, and it has a slight miss-nothing major let me know i will get you the number last time he was at 1500- but it has ronals on it and I want them! talk to me!
