Can someone check temperature dash codes in their car for me please?

I'm having some strange behavior from my cooling fans, and I'm hoping
others with the dash controller can help me.....

Can someone please email me the dash reading they get on
code 6 = coolant temp and it's rough corresponding temperature
the dash needle shows? maybe a few different datapoints from
cold to warm to hot engine? that would be greatly helpful for me in
troubleshooting.

My actual problem is that my dash says i'm at 120 or higher (into the
red) but the code 6 says 180 or so but the fans never turn on....
180 seems to have no real meaning, can't be degreesF i'm sure.....
so I'm curious what other car owners see as 'normal' for their code 6
readouts. when cold and when hot. I get no error codes to help me.

This is on a 96 S420. (w140).

Thanks all,
-Brendan
