Towing

Only thing in the manual is how to tow the mercedes. Nothing about how much you can tow with the car.

Probably 3500 lbs. max. I have never seen a class III hitch for most European cars. The hitch for that car would have a 1 1/4 inch receiver.

towing

After spending some time in Europe and seeing everything pulled with just about everything, I figured there had to be a number for it. Thought I would put a hitch on it and pull a pop up camper. Be a nice get away. Nice ride to the camp and then a restfull stay, maybe.. Thanks.

It can't be more than 3,500 but you'll probably be limited by the capacity of the hitch that you can find here in the U.S. Da'lan makes a 2,500 lb hitch for the car. Make sure your transmission fluid and filter are in good shape.
