Question Timing chain R/R when on V12?

Anyone know what the replacement interval in miles for the timing chain on the V12? I have a 92 600SEL.

when the basic can timing is off by more than 4deg...next to impossible to check!

WE have seen M120 engines with 200K & still in time..

The things I've read indicate that the chain is nearly indestructible...it's the chain guides that you need to be concerned about. If those let go, it's an expensive mess.

insurance

I guess it's just for insurance. Because I did my 190E & 260E at around 200K miles. Yes I know more then the recammended 150K but I wonder where these rules come from...
