Slow retracting seatbelt W124

My driver's side seatbelt is retracting slowly, so much so, that it's been caught in the door, after I've had time to get out.

Is there anyway to lube or adjust something?

Thanks,

This worked for me - take off the B pillar cover, two screws at the bottom, a little tricky at the top and breakage of plastic parts is a risk, and you will find a spring loaded retracting belt reel. I just made sure that this was wound as tightly as possible, put silicone on everything in sight, top and bottom, put it all back together and saw substantial improvement.

Thanks!

Good idea. I will try that within the next few weeks.
