Oil Pressue
My 93 SL 380 with 130k miles seems to show the oil pressure on the dash gauge almost at the max. When you step on the gas, the oil pressure gauge pins itself in the highest position. I just purchased the car and assume that it isn't supposed to be like this. Could the oil pressure really be that high or is the problem likely the gauge. The fuel gauge seems to jump around a bit too. Would a bad ground at the instrument cluster cause this?
Any thoughts would be helpful. |

Sounds just right. It is supposed to be pegged as the rpm's go up.

Max on most MB oil pressure gauges is only about 3 bar/45 psi. It is on an 83 380SL and 93 300SL. I don't know what a 93 SL 380 is.
