Need help to install outside Front Window wipes on 81-300CD

I searched the forums and was not able to find ans
81-300CD
I need to remove & install new outside front window wipes. We took off the nut at the front of the door holding the outside chrome stripe. But the chrome doesn't seem to want to be removed.
What is the proper procedure? Please.
