Hey everyone Im gona be doing my 1st oil change on my 2002 C 230 Kompressor coupe. I need to find an oil filter that will withstand 15,000km FSS interval changes....
I was told about a MAN oilfilter that is OE...is that good enuf...or maybe you guys/gals can recomend one for me...
--Living In Canada what Synthetic Oil should I be picking up (NAME and wieght)
One more question...Im gona be changing my brake fluid (Flush) any recomendations on what brake fluid I should be getting..

The OE oil filter will last 15,000km (<10,000 miles). If you stretch out the oil change interval any longer though, you'll need to use a fleece oil filter. MB started using these filters in 2003-04'. I'm not sure if these filters are available in the after-market. For what it's worth, I tell anyone who cares to listen that they should change their oil and filter at half the factory recommended interval, that is, if they plan on keeping the car for many years.

If you intend to keep the car for over 200,000 km change the oil and filter every 10,000 km or 6 mths whichever comes first. Recommend Mobile 1
5W40 which you can use year round in Canada. Stay with the MB filter which is fine for a 10,000 km change interval. Recommend the MB brake fluid and a 2 year change interval which dealer can change for about $120 CDN.

Oil: Mobil1 0W40 ( from dealer )
Filter: OEM ( from dealer )
Brakefluid: DOT 4 ( from dealer if you like ).
