transmission fluid change

I am finally getting around to doing a transmission fluid change on my 300ce.

i'll drain the torque converter first.

I am thinking about trying to suck some fluid out of the pan with my oil extractor device this time.

the last time i did this and took off the pan, i got a tranny bath.

anyone ever tried to suck the two quarts or so out of the pan?

i have a filter and will replentish with mobil 1. i think it's about 6.5 quarts.

My 300E has a drain plug on the pan. After draining the pan and the TC, I don't recall getting a fluid bath. NOTE: this is post number 666 !

a plug in the pan is a good thing...not fortunate to have one in either of the 124's

trans service

have you applied for entry into the record books?to have one 124 car with no drain plug in trans pan would be news.to have two is like a 6.5 earthquake. please call benz and tell them what you have they might give you a free car.

You have one.

I have done the extraction thing down the tranny fill tube. I didn't want to
remove the pan drain plug as I recall. Leaves quite a bit in the pan.
