190e transmission vac lines - how many ???

My 93 190e shifts hard - 2nd & 3rd. I noticed there were two nipples coming from the vacumm modulator on the tranny. One had a black vacuum line hooked to it and the other didn't have a hose. IS this how it is supposed to be ???? Thanks.

the modulator is on the drivers side, and should have only one vacuum line attached, where do you see the other nipple?

Carson,

Right next to the one that is hooked up with a black vacuum hose there is another nipple. It is the same size stem as the other one but nothing attached to it. May be there should be only one vacumm hose going to the modulator. I can't find a decent vacuum diagram anywhere. Anyways, Thanks for your response.

Please look at this picture. Do you see two nipples on the green box ??? In my 190e, the nipple on the right side has a rubber U hose connected to it and a black plastic vacuum hose is connected to the rubber U hose. The other nipple has nothing. Is this the way it is supposed to connected ???? Thanks for any advise.
