Whats the correct procedure for checking the tranny oil?
operating temp on neutral and engine running? Thanks

Assuming this is on your 93 300E in your profile, yes you are correct, you can leave it in park though. Assuming also you hadn't just changed the trans oil, if you had you'd want to shift it into all the gears first. Gilly
