helped a guy get the door panel off his 560

on sunday morning. he is a mailman and had delivered mail here as a sub. his son was driving his brothers 560 sel and the back window crapped out in the down position. so he remembered my driveway usually having multiple old benzes and came by on the chance he could catch me. so i showed him the secrets of removing the 126 door panel and cut him a stick to hold the glass up til they can get a repair kit. then showed them my orange hand cleaner and sent them on their way with a smile on their faces.

Those sticks, properly engineered, can work permanently when you're not willing to spend a couple hundred for a new motor/regulator.

You can get a used motor for less than $20 at a salvage yard. My 126 has one on the drivers door that has been working well for several years now.
