AC vents through defroster and Side Vents How do I fix it?
I had the bad luck of purchasing a 95 E300D that had the green peace glow plug wiring harness. I replaced the harness and now the AC comes out of the defroster and side vents. Does anyone have any idea if I crossed a vacuum hose or did the control switch module go out?
Thanks! |

You must have vacuum to the a/c vacuum valve inside the car...

you need vacuum to the center vents...but not to the defrost and sides..?
i have lost center vent a/c.... it could be pods... but i have to admit when i re-did my a-c... the manifold that contains 4 vacuum lines has one line missing... i plugged the manifold up with a screw...but can't find the stupid plastic line... i wonder if that's the one that goes to the center vents... i am waiting until my son comes home from school sometime to trace his against mine.. any other thoughts would be welcome. not that big of a deal right now... except a lot of A/c is going to the defrost... if its pods... i have 3 or 4 of them...but just don't have the rest or the time to take apart the dash... i have to do valve stem seals first...

Thanks to all!
I verified that it is a vacuum problem and now all I have to do is figure out where the problem is.
Thanks for all of you who provided advice! |
