84 190e clutch slave cylinder location

The clutch pedal had gone all the way to the floor and I found leakage near the master cylinder. The resivoir was almost dry. The braided hose from the resivivoir to the master was loose, worn and leaking. I would like to replace the hose and bleed the clutch and the brake system. Two questions: 1. How do I keep from breaking the bleeders on the brakes. 2. How do I get to the slave cylinder? I can see the line going from the fire wall up to what seems to be the top of the bell housing but can't see the slave cylinder. Or am I looking at the wrong line?

slave cylinder

it is on the other side or the trans.you will need to replace everything unless you want to do the job twice.feed line from reservoir to master, master cylinder, line from master to slave and slave.now bleeding is a fun job.best way is to get power brake bleeder and send fluid from the slave up to the master.some times you can fill the reservoir and leave the bleed screw on the slave cracked open overnite and it will bleed to where you can pump bleed the next morning.

clutch slave cylinder

Thanks! What is the best way to loosen up bleeders without breaking them off? (This car has been through lots of salty roads.) Someone told me to use a propane torch. Is this a good idea? What are the risks? (Besides starting a fire.) Could this damage the fluid or the seals? It already has Dot 3 added, in instead of Dot 4. Thats another reason I would like to bleed the whole system.
