Help No Forward Gears 1990-190E 2.6
The car has about 150K on the odometer and it was shifting like a new car... I drove it to a T in the road at about 30 mph and slowed to a stop and turned right and immediately after making the turn the auto trans had no forward gears. However it still has reverse. Any ideas will be appreciated. Jim

trans problums
same thing happind to my 88 190 2.3 . i am afraid to say your trans will need a rebuild or replacment . i just decided to covert mine over to a 5 speed manual using used parts from my local auto recyclers yard and a new clutch kit . it was alot cheeper then a trans rebuild . about $550.00 plus my own labor. compared to $800-1100 dollars for a rebuild . and the 5 speed is a much stronger trans then the auto.
sincerly, Justin aka: mbluvrr
