Am getting something like rear end bearing noise out of my car, 150,000 miles on it. The axle shafts were replaced new around 2,500 miles ago, along with all new rubber bushings, rear end mounts, flex disc's, tranny rebuilt, tranny and engine mounts. Dealer mechanic says rear end bullitt proof, but does not think wheel bearings are the problem. Any way to tell without dis-assembling the rear wheel hub and bearings? No slop in wheels. Sound is metallic grating noise tied to RMP. Cannot hear anything while run on rack while listening to car with stethescope. Noise has been there for some time, prior to all of work mentioned, but getting alot noisier and can feel it while seated in rear seats. Any suggestions? thanks!
