My SL500 is sick, where's the doc

My 1997 SL500 stalls when it has been driven for about 15-20 mins. It will restart after about 3-5mins. What the hell is going on?

Welcome to MS........trust you'll hang around a while ?

Possible wiring loom connector/s breaking up inside.
With the engine idling, grab the loom under the hood, and wriggle it around gently..... try in several areas of the loom.

Are there any DTC logged ? have you had it checked at a shop ?

Talking New kid on the block

Thanks for responding to the new kid on the block, I will try the loom tonight. I was also advised to replace the crank sensor located at the rear of the engine. Wish me luck. Thanks again

Flywheel crank sensor failure is common..that will cause that problem.

Also the fuel pump can cause the exact same symptoms.
