Question Source for remanufactured cylinder head

Seems the headgasket on my 91 190E 2.3 needs replacing and I'm considering swaping for remanufactured head while I'm at it. Any thoughts on advisability of this vs. just having valve job done at shop and any recommendations for source of remanufactured head? I'm in northeast so closer is better to minimize shipping expenses.

Thanks.

www.mercedesengines.net has the best reputation in the country.

www.adsitco.com has better prices but some have had customer service problems.

I agree on the "mercedesengines" site, that's Metric engines website. You could consider just getting a valve job and valve guides done though.

Not me. You could try the "good shops" forum. Or an alternative would be to contact a shop in your area that you know does good MB work and ask for a recommendation on a machine shop, or ask the dealer who they use.
