few money saver fixes i discovered

driver side power window on my 1990 sl was super slow and wouldnt go all the way up. bought a new motor and when i went to put it in it was the wrong side. so since i had the door apart i thought i would open up the motor and see what made it tick. it was out of grease, so i cleaned it up and re greased the gear box and all is back together now working well and i took back the new motor and saved $200

also was going to buy newer tail lights as mine were faded but after seeing the cost i decided to try painting them. used candy apple red over the amber and it really freshend it up

and my front grille was faded and had some small dents in it. again the cost made me take a second look, i decided to take it apart and bondo the dings and paint it gloss black(that is my body color also) along w/ the rear trunk trim. i think it looks better than the original now

thanks for this boards help and just wanted to contribute something back

thanks for the tips.

i have had the same experience with window motors. it seems the less you use them the more trouble you will have.
