Coult this be related.

Recently I had an overheating problem in my 1998 CLK 320. The car got hotter than normal but did not go into the red. It was a cool night no traffic. At the same time I had a really weak battery that died almost immediately thereafter.

I have driven the car 4 times since then and it has not overheated again. My question is that could the battery have been causing this and since I have a new battery now it is helping?

Thanks
