Voltage regulator on 300 CE

Can anyone tell me where the voltage regulator is located on a 1991 300 CE coupe?

It's at the back of the alternator. Disconnect the car's battery, remove the 2 Philips head screws at the back of the alternator, then extract the voltage regulator. Usual failure is the brushes get too short to make good contact with the armature. You can tell because the brush contacting face will not be shiny.

Oops, I told him in the another thread it's in the alternator, accessible from the back side of the alternator. Is it different in this car?

Nope, you're right, I read it as "blower motor regulator" for some reason.
