Hi All,
I've got a BROKEN front flex disk. I noticed it while changing the transmission fluid during some much needed PM. There was only a slight vibration when flooring the gas pedal that indicated something might be awry.
I just bought this car a few months ago and the previous owner had mentioned that he had just had one of the flex disks replaced. The broken one looks new so I'm wondering if the shop that installed it (assuming it was the one replaced!) may have done something wrong. That said, I can't find a procedure in my "Bible" or on the list that discribes replacement of the flex disks. It appears that perhaps file E:\Program\Chassis\41-050.pdf on my Service manual CD might cover this procedure but for some reason it is the ONLY one that won't load.
Is changing the flex disk as simple as it looks or does someone know of a detailed procedure for this repair somewhere. If anyone can share 41-050 with me (if it indeed covers this repair) it would certainly be appreciated!
Thanks,
Bob Kopicki
