Door not closing tight on 94 E420 (w124)

Just noticed wind noise from the driver door on my 94 E420. Looks like all the seals are good.

What I did notice is that the door is not shutting tight enough. That is, when I look at the front passenger door, it seems to be flush with the rest of the body when closed. The driver door does not.

Exactly what do I adjust to have it close tighter? Is it the striker plate on the inside of the door body?

Thanks!

Yes - I had to adjust mine a little after closing the door in a rather spirited manner. Just loosen the 2 (I think) screws a little, and the plate will move for you. If you have a white crayon, you can mark it's current position in case you're not happy with your adjustment(s).

I hope your door latch is not damaged causing it to close then pop out because it does not catch like it should.

Nope... all fixed now. Simply loosened the latch and moved it inwards a bit. First adjustment worked perfectly. Thanks!
