Stub hose between the head and water pump.

You might need a new belt tensioner if it's still loose when the tensioner pointer indicates proper setting. Kinda silly design that it can indicate okay but not be okay.

I believe it comes with the o-ring for the block. Use some grease to keep the o-ring in place while fitting the pump.

Not sure about the o-ring for the cabin heat line.

finally did mine. i tried to take pictures at every step, but as soon as i got frustrated that stopped.

i was able to get it done without removing the fan. or the Y shaped bracket that attaches to the tensioner. an MB mechanic at Phoenix Motor Company (mercedes dealer in phoenix. very very helpful and knowledgeable people there.) advised i use a GM tool which was basically long extension with a narrower shaft than usual. since i didnt want to hunt down a tool i opted for a 1/4 inch drive long extension, the requisite converters and a wobble set of extensions from pep boys. same result. though they might not be as strong.
took me at least 12 hours, taking my time, not finding where the bolts were, taking off the wrong ones and fighting the waterpump and then realising that id taken off the bolt below the one i should have, going to get tools i didnt realise i needed, like allen wrenches, taking pictures, consulting the three different writeups on the procedure that id printed up from this site. and surfing the internet.

if you have big hands like me, save yourself the trouble and just take it to a mechanic to do. the access to some of those nuts bolts and fasteners was excruciating. especially when trying to put them back.
