Exclamation 92 300E Fuel Pump Problem

Hi all,

I have a 92 w124, and a week ago I cranked it on in the morning and it ran for about 2 minutes then it died. It would not start at all after that. Two days ago I ran a wire from the battery terminal to the fuel pumps and the car started up good. I would probably think that the mass relay went bad, but I just want to know a way to find that out before I spend 350-500 dollars on it and turn out not to be that the problem. I know that the mass relay was kinda bad because my A/C would not start and the relay for the A/C is actually in that mass relay. If anyone knows how to actually find out if it is the mass relay plz let me know. And if you have one for sale let me know also!!!!!!
