Location of tachometer amplifier in W124

Hello!

I am back home for the break,

found out my car has 2 issues.... :-(

1) The tachometer is out, not working at all.

2) When I am not moving, (stand still) and I turn the wheel from the centered position to 11 o'clock or 1'oclock, I hear this weird eerie clunking sound from what seems below the firewall, floorboard..

I am going to pretend problem #2 is not there right now... ($$$$$$$$$)

From what I have read, the tach amp is the first thing to check...

Can anybody tell me EXACTLY where the tachometer amp is located on a W124 chassis car?

THANK YOU!
