light bulb warning

I have an e320 1999 light bulb warning light, I checked all the bulbs and they seem to work fine. could it be the wrong voltage for bulbs. it was at a dealership so I was pretty sure they had the right bulbs installed. when i turn the first click to fog that is when the warning light goes on. also is there a module to replace or if this isn't fixable, is there a plug behind the guages that i can pull that operates all the warnings so i can see my normal dash again? thanks

Let me get this straight, you turn the headlights on, and you are OK, then you pull the knob out 1 click, to activate the fogs, and then you get the warning? What does the display say is inop?

There's has got to be a bulb out somewhere.... check the licence plate lights and sidemarker lights. check them at dusk, when you can see them better...Some of the smaller bulbs don't really stand out, until it's dark out.

good hunting!

I checked all the lights are on, including license plate, I noticed the warning lamp does not come on until I start the car. if i turn the lights on before i start the car no warning is posted. I am not sure if that makes any difference.
