Cold idling problem?

Hi all,

My 98-E320 just seems to have a little problem with cold/morning idle. Normally, when I start the car, I wait for about a minute before driving it. The idle go down to about 600 rpm in this minute and seem stable. Just last week I start noticing that the idle fluctuates between 700-900 rpm and it just seems strange as it doesn't sound as clean. At the same time, the car seems to take longer to shift out of 1st gear at about 2800 rpm whereas it use to be about 2300 rpm - I am not sure if the problems are related?

So does anyone has the same thing happened? Any suggestions: plug, fuel injector cleaning, fuel filter, MAF??? I haven't done any tune up and my car has about 70000 miles

Thanks in advance
JeffreyP
