The 94 E320 I just picked doesn't want to blow threw the center vents and the floor vents. I played with the switches and if I press defrost or off and then push the 3 middle buttons nothing engages. I'm going to guess it has something to do with the switches?????? Or should I be looking else where?

I don't have that model but if the system is the same as that found on a C Class from that same year, it could be one of the classic problems with the complicated vacuum system that controls all the ventilation door flaps. You will find numerous posts in regard to this on the various MB forums found on the internet.
