Question Is This Normal? See Pic

This is where my temp is after replacing all the cooling system pars (except the water pump). Does this seem right?

Also (this is embarrasing).... I cant open the hood now. I put everything back the way it was and didnt detach the cables from the radiator support or latch but for some reason it wont open! The latch on the inside is loos also. I can get the plastic tab to come through the grill to pull on but it isnt helping. Any advice you guys might have would be welcome!!!

if your temp gauge is Horizontal then it is OK, what was it before?
Are you getting heat?
You have to make sure you burp these systems and place the thermostat in correctly.
As far as the hood, if the latch is releasing the hood , then the saftey lever mechanism must be the issue, perhaps it has become out of adjustment or come off. May be a bugger to open. Have you tried to close securely and then pop open?

Looks fine to me.... mine runs as high as the middle of the 100° and 120°C marks in the summer in city driving, however, my auxillary fan is on the fritz. It blows fuses as soon as I install. Thankfully it still has the clutch fan.

On the flip sides, in cooler weather and on the highways, it stays on 65°C!

Its my persistance that has helped me flourish this long.

hood locked

Hello,

had the same problem on my 300ce.

Get a coat hanger and make a small hook. Get your flash light and you will see where to pull to open

I agree - coat hanger time. Like he says, when you look in there with a flashlight it'll all make sense...
