722.4 Throttle Linkage Pictures Please!! (C220)

Hiya!

The throttle linkage to my 722.4 Tranny on my C220 seems to be totally disconnected from the parts that are found directly under the Intake Manifold. It seems OK from the Throttle Body to the parts below it, that are basically in the front of the tranny. From there, it seems to activate a lever or rod that goes to the back of the tranny (& under the intake). This is/feels completely loose and I'm sure that it is the likely culprit to my 'No Kickdown and Way-Early upshifts' problem. However, I'm trying to get away with fixing it withOUT having to remove the intake manifold to get a look a the situation under there...Sooo if someone's got some pictures/ideas as to what's suppossed to be connected (to what) back there, I'd greatly appreciate it!!

I have the AST manual, but it only shows the connections up front....
