There are many possible causes, some serious others not. ASR light is a very common problem and there are many good threads on the subject. Try a search above. Do a search also for building a fault code tester and reading fault codes. Your car has a 38 pin diagnostic connector that will help you determine the source of the problem. You can build a fault code reader for the car for less than $10.

I placed the proper ammount of air (psi) in tire

ASR light still on. Light came on during hard acceleration, while passing on freeway. Where is the throttle acc. and can a reset it or clean it somehow?
Thanks

.If it is spinning a tire at high acceleration, that is what it is supposed to do.
Why don't you take a previous posters advice and get the codes??

If it downshifted , it might..

Check tire PSI all around and then get codes ..you may have a Brake Switch code in there ,,,very common ASR fault. but check tires/psi first as tire sizing is critical for rev counting/comparison by the computer for ASR.

You may also consider running one thread on your problem. Dual threads take on a life of there own on and more often do not help get to the remedy of your complaint..........
