Question 1987 190E 2.3 electricial problem

HELP! I am desperate. I own an 87 190E 2.3 auto. I have replaced the battery and the alternator and after aprox. 20 min. all of the dashboard warning lights come on. The car will start and is charging properly. If the battery is disconnected, the system seems to reset. If I reconnect the problem returns. I am out of ideas. Can you help me?

iwould start by checking the ground connections, don't forget the chassis ground under the battery box lower frame to engine, you can get to it from under the car
