Vmi report??

Im taking my car back to the very good shop that I went to last week
(independent mercedes service center) Tommorow to get the cigarette lighter fixed, and the mechanic is going to check out my amp, he said he could also get me a vmi, is there any place I can find out what the codes on the vmi mean? Thanks in advance.

The VMI shows only work that was covered under warranty and work that was done under a recall.

I've seen mine, and I recall there is a pretty good description of the repairs / maintenance carried out.

YEA I found out they only show the warranty related items but thats still cool. since I have a good amount of service records and the vmi should be good. How did they give descriptions of the repair and how many were there?

It looks much like the description you'd find on a regular invoice, I think.

The VMI I have for one of our cars shows all warranty claims and the date/dealer where the free maint. service was completed.
