Greetings,I posted my question in the wrong forum, so I'll try again.

My hood release cable is detached at the Hood Latch, and I need help on how to open the hood without breaking the grille or drilling a hole. The car is in wonderful condition and I don't want to destroy the hood.

Any help would be greatly apprecitaed.

FWIW the grille insert is made of plastic and isn't terribly expensive (like 20 - 40 depending on condition). If it were my car, regardless of condition, I'd break that in a second to get the hood open and the cable replaced.
